Good stuff. They’re certainly getting their fair share of use this winter.

I’m so ready to have a clean car again.

I literally don’t understand why 99% of cars have carpet. Give me some vinyl or hard plastic.

So true. Especially considering what ends up on the floors of most cars. The Honda Element had it right with its hoseable interior.

Sound deadening.

I get that part of it. I think with active noise cancelling and modern materials could do better than a thin layer of carpet. And as a parent to 2 kids and two dogs, there are a number of SUV’s or minivans that many parents would option with a solid floor if given the choice.

Ford used to offer the best of both worlds on their FX4 packages. You could get what was essentially a Lariat trimmed truck but with vinyl floors with some sound deadening insulation underneath.

Weathertech inserts are the best. I want to start trying some of the off-brand ones that are a little less expensive. Maybe on the next rig.

Weather techs in mine- was sold when the last truck had them from the po. Black carpet is making me twitch in the winter. I’ve only done the fronts so far but the rear may be next.

I’ve got Husky Weatherbeaters in two of my cars and I love them. I was researching between them and WeatherTechs and most consumers said the Huskys had better coverage and fitment, so I went with them. Been extremely happy with them, especially this winter with how much slop they’ve been covered in.
